Circle & Ceremony

In community, a profound comfort and nourishment emerge - a remembrance you are not alone. That you are worthy of being held, your truth heard, and your heart and story honored. It is a unique medicine, the healing of being held in sacred space among the loving presence of others.

Sacred Grief Circles

Ceremony and rituals speak a language the grieving mind can absorb. They surround your pain in love and beauty while simultaneously witnessing it deeply. The experience can be profoundly healing.

Feeling held in sacred space allows for a softening and release to take place. The tight spot in your throat opens a little, that pit in your stomach unclenches, and the ache in your heart has a chance to hand over a little of the weight it’s holding.

Rest your eyes under a lavender scented pillow with gong accompaniment and your body under roses. Light candles of honoring. Leave lifted up, lighter, and with a renewed sense of wholeness.

Women’s Moon Circles

Women have been gathering under the moon since ancient times. It’s a way to tap into the powers of the natural world, connect with your soul, hear your voice, and conjure your heart’s desires. All in a held container among other women.

As a woman, the rhythm of the Moon lives within you. Syncing with this rhythm activates a sort of magic. It’s unexplainable and yet deeply familiar.

Sacred Space is created using a combination of movement, relaxation, reflection, and ritual. The intent is to give you an opportunity to hear your own voice, re-connect with your spirit, release what’s weighing your down and identify your heart’s desires.

"Women are expected to do and be a million things and execute them all flawlessly," says Laurel Marlantes, a moon circle facilitator in Bainbridge Island, WA. "Our culture still rewards business, but being busy doesn't allow for going deep or connecting with others in a really meaningful way." That's where moon circles come in. "They put it on the calendar for you and give you the opportunity to dive into these spaces that daily life doesn't always have time for."

What Women Are Saying

“My fears couldn’t have been farther from the reality. Yes, there was deep sadness. But because we all shared a similar experience, it wasn’t just listening to others heartbreak and pain... it was joining them in that, and creating a safe and secure river of truth and vulnerability to jump into. Compassion grew in me, for myself, as a result of having great compassion for the other women in the room.”

— Kelly M, Sacred Grief Circle

“I was hesitant to go at first but then realized that I could offer something by being a witness, too. I’m so glad I went. What you are doing by creating space and ritual around loss of infants and pregnancies is nothing short of radical! I have deep deep gratitude for it.”

It was so wonderful to be surrounded by women, open to giving and receiving love and trust and strength. Laurel not only pulled us together during such a special event hosted by Mother Nature, but then provided us with a structure that allowed us to connect emotionally and visually and personally to our issues and our needs and our desires, and our strengths. It was something my spirit was starving for, and I didn’t even know it.”
